What is the responsibility of a Conveyancer in relation to the Housing Consumers Protection Measures Act No 95 of 1998 regarding registration of a Mortgage Bond with the Deeds Office?

 

Any Conveyancer attending to the registration of a mortgage bond at the Deeds Office shall ensure that the Developer, Home Builder or Building Contractor is registered with NHBRC in terms of Act No. 95 of 1998 and that the house is enrolled with the NHBRC as per the prescribed rules.
