One Stop Between You and the NHBRC
Professional’s Responsibility
In the instance where a Conveyancer is assigned to register a home or dwelling they must ensure that the Home Builder is registered with the NHBRC and also that the specific dwelling is enrolled with the NHBRC and will insist on an enrolment certificate to confirm same. See Section 18 of Act 95 of 1998.
No Financial Institutions shall lend money to any Housing Consumer unless that institution is satisfied that the Home Builder is registered and that the specific dwelling is enrolled with the NHBRC in terms of The Act.
